DRS has a team of ex-buyers from major supermarket chains that are responsible for the account management of suppliers. This is extremely advantageous for the supplier as the DRS team have a clear understanding of what the retail buyers want to know…and what they don’t want to know. The dialogue with retailers is clear and concise at all times.

The tasks that our account management team perform are as follows:

  • Negotiate trading terms for each retailer
  • Source new business for proprietary brands and private label brands
  • Formulate promotional programmes
  • Day to day management of the account
  • Liaise with key management within the supplier base
  • Attend on-site supplier meetings as required
  • Attend on-site supplier meetings as required
  • Operate and sell product in retail outlets, pharmacy, clearance, distributors and export
  • Identify sales opportunities within the Australian market and overseas markets
  • Negotiate contract conditions for each retailer
  • Provide a costing model for the purpose of ensuring a profitable
    return for the supplier.
  • Re-negotiate existing contract extensions
